Is Locust Hill Farm a fair chase environment?
I get asked all the time, is Locust Hill Farm high fenced? NO, Virginia outlawed high fence hunting farms in the 90s and we do not have a high fence anywhere on the farm.
How many hunters are on the farm at one time?
Our lodges are not set up to handle more than 4-5 hunters at a time. We do not plan to book more than 15-20 hunters per season so if you book a hunt for a specific week on the farm there will not be more than 5 hunters on the 4600 acres. We want everyone to be able to have their own room if possible and between our two lodges we have five total bedrooms.
Are meals provided on your hunts?
Due to low demand for meals in prior years and the desired to keep your hunt price low, we are not providing meals with our hunts. Having a great kitchen in the cabin and cottage as well as your close proximity to Culpeper and Orange, VA with plenty of restaurant choices; we are not providing meals with our hunts.
Where is the farm located?
Locust Hill Farm is located in Culpeper and Madison counties in North Central Virginia. Almost equidistant between Culpeper, VA and Orange, VA off Hwy 15, the entrance to our lodges is easy for people to find and accessible in all weather conditions.

What are some items to bring on our hunt?
Besides the obvious like your bow/gun, hunting clothing and all the little items you take hunting. Some must haves are a safety harness, rubber boots, rain gear and flashlights with green or red lenses. The Fall brings wet weather to Virginia so once the ground is wet rubber boots are a must. We do not allow hunters to get into tree stands without a harness. The flashlights come in handy when going into and from stands in the dark. We drop hunters off as close as possible to their stands but we do have glowing dots to lead all the way to the stands and red and green lenses work the best.
What items do we need to bring for the lodging?
Both lodges are equipped with full kitchens supplied with all appliances and utensils. Bedding is also provided at both lodges so the only items to bring are soap and shampoo.
