We put cameras back out on the farm a couple of weeks ago and we are starting to see what bucks made it through the season. This 9pt is going to be a stud next year.

Couple of Buck Harvests Fall 2010

Food plots are looking great!

Big Bucks are up on their feet and moving!!!

Took this video on Saturday morning after watching some young bucks filter through. This guy came by at 40 yards but didn't want anything to do with my grunt calls. Nice to see the big boys up and moving around.

 

First Buck of 2010 Hunting Season!

Chris Richards of Rixeyville, VA harvested this nice 8 point this evening on the farm. We rough scored the buck as a 7 point since he broke off his left brow tine but he still scored 142.5" as a seven point. With the trail camera pictures we have of him he would have topped out at 147" as an eight point. Great buck Chris and what a great start to the season at Locust Hill Farm. This guy put on a show for me this evening. I saw 8 bucks total but he was the only one with good light to film and close enough. Nice looking buck! 

 

Bow opener only two weeks away!

I have not seen this buck since early July and he's grown a lot.

Here is an old face from last year. I have both sheds from last year and this is the first time we have seen him running around on the farm since January 31st, 2010. 

 

Dove in Wheat Field

 

Rolled up on a wheat field a couple of days ago and there were hundreds of dove in the field. The dove opener cannot get here fast enough. Come hunt with us today at Locust Dale Hunts.

Bigger bucks are showing up.

We are hanging stands right now, putting in new food plots and getting ready for the thermometer to go south! The dove are going to be thick this year which is exciting and the deer are looking great. The buck below has not been seen in probably a month and he put on matching kickers off his G2s. 2010 Archery Opener is right around the corner

It's almost the end of July and the opener of dove season is fast approaching. The sunflowers to starting to pop right now and will be great for the Dove opener.
